Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Norman Jaeger is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida and holds a Master Degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic College. He served for a year and half as the vice president on the executive committee for the South Florida Association of Christian Counselors. He played a key role in the establishment of the Palm Beach County Marriage Initiative in 2008.
Norman has been practicing in the field of counseling since 1995 and has experience working for a number of Family Counseling agencies in the West Palm Beach area. Prior to coming to Spanish River Counseling Center in 2001, he served as a consultant to Father Flanagan’s Girls and Boys Town of South Florida and was also involved in private practice providing individual, family and couples counseling.
He is skilled in dealing with issues related to addictive behavior, parenting, behavior management, anger, depression, anxiety, grief, infidelity, divorce recovery and other marital and blended family issues. Norman is certified in the Prepare and Enrich a premarital and marriage enrichment program as well as in Couple Communication I and II. He is also qualified in working with a wide array of mental health issues such phobias, anxiety disorders as well as personality disorders. Norman has been involved in providing counseling and reentry support to families who have children returning from longer term residential treatment programs. Norman is committed to the integration of Biblical truth and principles for right living as a vital part of the counseling process.
Norman is also available to speak on a variety of topic including Anger, Father Daughter Relationships, The Impact on Healthy Marriages on Children and Raising Boys. Norman is also involved in providing training to those interested in counseling with youth, conducting premarital counseling and knowing when to refer for professional counseling. Norman has a strong passion for helping marriages to be strong. He and his wife are involved in facilitating marriage enrichment and restoration groups in their local community. Norman is available by appointment with office hours in Jupiter and Boca Raton.
